(Wolsh) Springer. The last of eight children, Ms. Day was predeceased by her siblings Virginia Thompson, Carl L., H. Kenneth, George O., Floyd M., Florence and Viola Cross. She is survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces , nephews and family. On April 3. 2013, Betty Lou Buck of Howard Co., MD, originally of Scotia, NY., beloved wife of Lyle B. Buck who preceded her in death, was called home after a brave struggle with cancer. She was a loving mother and is survived by her three children, Mark B. Buck of Albany, NY., Christina I. Frear and her husband Jack of Round Hill, VA., and Rebecca S. Spicer and her husband Mike of Sykesville, MD. She is also survived by four grandsons, Brian M. Spicer and his wife Rachel, Cody J. Frear, Travis E. Spicer and Max C. Frear. She was a gifted artist who enjoyed sharing her talents with others and many of her paintings grace the walls of her family and friends. She was a teacher’s aide at St. John’s Lane Elementary School, loved gardening, singing in the choir, quilting, reading and games. Her husband Lyle was minister at First Presbyterian Church of Howard County for many years and together they worked to build a warm, loving church family. A memorial service will be held April 20, 2013 at 1 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Howard County, 9325 Presbyterian Circle, Columbia, MD 21045.
